Mon Ami Guelord

Mon Ami Guelord (MAG) is a public health NGO based in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The NGO works to incentivize the citizen’s well-being in one of the most deprived areas of the city. Our team was put harshly to the test by the public health situation in the country, which is reflected by a high rate of deaths, due to the diseases that afflict the population, especially women and children, as a result of an ineffective process of awareness campaigns. Our action plan is based on the collaboration with the Congolese inhabitants, particularly with the public health personalities who are present in the territory of Kinshasa, in order to set up an efficient system of premature identification of the health risks and to establish suitable measures of prevention. Moreover, to solicit the various stakeholders to implement the WHO guidelines, in relation to certain pathologies. Lastly, to promote health, which is a fundamental right of every human being.
